Can you imagine taking sugar, water, a pretty color, and coming up with the sweetest product ever?
Hand Molded and Colored Tea Sugars

A little cellophane cube tied with pink ribbon contains four stacks of sugar pretties - pink roses and green leaves - to drop into your teacup. As Sharon says, "add a touch of grace and beauty to your tea experience".
Today, to honor Pink Saturday, I'm thinking a cup of Earl Grey with a slice of plum-raspberry gateau topped with more raspberries..........but should I open the almost too pretty to use sugars?
This delightful gift came from Susie and Jenny (mom and daughter team from SuzAnna's Antiques). Thanks so much dear friends, you are so kind to always think of me.
As you know, I'm not at home to make tea today..............instead I'm more likely searching for a tea shop in San Francisco!
Hope you all visit our hostess Beverly at How Sweet The Sound today to see lots more pink.

Hi Mary! I will take one slice of raspberry gateau and don't you dare open that beautiful box of pinks. Save it for a very special occasion. How about when I come to tea? Wonderful post honey. Thanks for sharing. Stop by and say hi, I love it when you do. Country Hugs, Sherry
ReplyDeleteHappy pink Saturday. Give my love to San Francisco - loved it!

What a lovely idea--tea sugars! The slice of raspberry gateau looks so yummy and the place setting, perfect for tea.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
Did you open them, Grandma??? Haha, knowing you, not wanting to ruin such a lovely gift, they're still sitting daintily on your kitchen island. Maybe we can find a nice tea shop here in San Francisco.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Jasmin
Those sugars are adorable!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteThese tea sugars are fabulous!

LOL...we were thinking along the same lines, although your dessert is much prettier and fancier then mine! LOL
ReplyDeleteMary how lovely your blog. You have made my mouth crave that gorgeous dessert and I think I would use the sugar and then wrap the box again with some other pink delight.Happy Traveling. Meg
ReplyDeleteThey are too pretty to use. But, I could love eating the raspberry gateau.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday, Mary.
We will have a great tea party with all the girls and use those pretty sugars!! You are worth using the good stuff for! Treat yourself!!!
ReplyDeleteThose sugars are great! I've seen them around! I know you will have fun with them!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
Hugs, Lisa
Now that's taking sugar into the next level. I love the message and the story and purpose behind making them. I don't think I'd be able to use such pretties. :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!

Happy PS Looks yummy. Must go make some scones you made me hungry. Have some home made strawberry jam, to spread on the scones.
ReplyDeleteThose sugars are so pretty that it would be hard to use them! Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteHad the Grands for a few days so I am a day late and a dollar short for Pink Saturday! We just had so much fun and time got away from me☺
ReplyDeleteBut, I didn't want to miss all the pinkness that brings sunshine to my weekend. And, another cool, sun-less day. My gardens look horrible this year. Nothing is growing...sigh.
So, your sweet blog post is cheering me up! Thanks so much for giving me something pretty to look at other than the dark clouds outside my kitchen window.
What a wonderfully delicious idea!

I must confess I prefere berries to sugar :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea - but how could anyone bear to use them? Do you remember getting tea sugar loose - big sugar granules - in mixed colours, a little blue, pink, yellow... I used to demand it with hot milk, so I could see what colour it would go.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday! (Big apologies, I know I'm late, but I've been overwhelmed with deadlines and teaching classes Sat & Sun - and only now just getting a chance to go blog-hopping).
Very pretty sugars!
