Pink Saturday

Thoughts of pink~~~~~~~~~~~
Even during these freezing cold January days I have thoughts of my favorite Spring flower. When I flip this switch with the pretty pink tulip switch plate, the dining room is brightly illuminated by the chandelier over the table.

Looking about I see some touches of pink such as the pots I enjoy decoupaging...........

.................and the vintage window with more pink blossoms.

Can you tell I love pink tulips? I even plant them in the garden, my favorite being Pink Impression, a Darwin tulip with a huge deep pink cup, long-lasting bloom, with sturdy stems that hold up in Springtime breezes. I love them with Queen of the Night, the dark purple tulip closest to black ~ will show you some come Spring!
Hope this will be a great Pink Saturday in your town. Even here in central North Carolina we are now experiencing some very low temperatures ~ you will be assured of pink cheeks if you step outside!
Hurry on over see our hostess Beverly at How Sweet the Sound and get a warm pink feeling by visiting both old and new friends.

  1. Wouldn't some pink tulips be grand in this extreme cold to bring some warmth to our shivering bodies? I love the window - almost got one - but it go away from me.

I need to get under the covers now.

    Love you!

  3. Happy Pink Saturday, Mary.

Your pink tulips are just the perfect pinks to warm our spirits and bring us smiles. I remember your pretty tulip blooms.

I will be staying inside today to keep my cheeks a warm pink instead of cold pink. My sweet husband had to work today. I felt so bad for him leaving this morning, but he had on many layers of clothing.

  14. Lovely tulips - the multicolored ones are called parrot tulips, aren't they? I've always thought that was a perfect name for them.

We can't grow tulips here unless we keep in the in the fridge for a few weeks. That's way too much trouble!! I do miss them.

Have a great - and WARM - Pink SAturday!

  24. Hello Mary, I adore tulips. Your switch plate is beautiful. I don't think I have ever seen one like it. On the farm mom planted tulips along the long lane driving up to the farm house. They were so beautiful. I will look forward to seeing yours in the spring.

We went to the Biltmore AGAIN with our other daughter and our grands Ashly and Logan. We had a wonderful time as they have never seen the Biltmore. The Grands were very interested, I was happy about that. We all got in for free because we have season passes. This month we can brings guests for free. I may have told you yesterday...As usual Chaos abounds in this home. smile. I have so many Pinkies to visit and we just now arrived home. Sigh!

It has be freezing cold all day and it is snowing. My grands are very happy. Me too.

    Love and hugs...Jeanne
