Pull up a chair and sit a while.....................it's Saturday, PINK Saturday. Your week has been busy, perhaps hectic, possibly chaotic. For many of you it required getting the children back to school after the long Summer vacation. Are you breathing again? Are you happy they're gone from under your feet for a while? Or are you worried because they're no longer within earshot and view all those hours of each school day? I hope all the children will have a great school year.
Truly a 'shabby chic' chair from SuzAnna's Antiques
While you're taking a breather why not have fun filling out a "happiness card"..........................
...........................and then stop over to visit Beverly our hostess at How Sweet the Sound to see the long list of Pink Saturday participants.

Mary, I take such pleasure in knowing that when I come to your blog there will be beauty and a smile waiting for me.
ReplyDeleteDid your sweet granddaughter return to school this week? You must be such a special part of her life. It is wonderful that she has you to teach her about all of the beauty in our lives.
I will fill your list with things that make me happy, and one of them will be you.
Hello dear Mary, I have wanted to get to all the Pinkies today and everything keeps stopping me. A phone call, several, the visiting nurse, two hours, brother-in-law bringing his tuna casserole, time to visit with him, and endless other things to do like breakfast and soup for lunch. Whew! I am done in.
ReplyDeleteNow, that chair is delightful, from Suzanna's. Oh, and falling asleep at the computer. Minor problem. smile. I love your happiness card. Right now with so much happiness from friends and family, about this surgery, especially blogging friends, unbelievable, I have a long happy list. Thank you for such a great idea. All pink and everything. I value your lovely friendship very much Mary.
Love...Jeanne

ReplyDeleteA "Happiness Card"...and no room on it to list unhappy thoughts...that's good.
ReplyDeleteMary, we are leaving next Sunday, September 7. I'm busy getting ready and trying to not take too much - however, we do need to dress for two climates and for business and for pleasure - that makes it hard.
We'll be home before you leave for France.
Love to you and Bob,
Deborah
Love the chair. Good idea on the Happiness Card.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that chair. The star is beautiful, very delicate looking. Have a wonderful holiday weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe Happiness Card is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Mary, My sweet dh brought me coffee this morning. Now this is a man who knows 'nothing' about making anything, much less coffee. I wonder what will happen when I ask him for a cup of tea. I am easy, I like it black. My coffee however, has to be perfect, with sugar and cream. He got it just right! Mmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteMary, thank you for your constant encouragement. I have finally felt up to visit some, but honestly, I have a hard time staying awake. The pain meds work well, but put me to sleep.
I have to ask you about the chandelier at Suzanna's that you have been admiring. I don't know why but I was looking at the light in the guest room and thinking how nice a pretty chandelier would look in there. If I recall, the one you like was a wall light. Real pretty.
Anyway, time for breakfast. A peach and some cereal sounds good.
Loving thoughts, Jeanne
Fun post-now thats a shabby chair, not quite so sure about the chic though. Great pink list!
ReplyDeleteYour statue is beautiful. I love the shabby chair too. I one with the seat out of it so I have a fern growing in it.
