Pink Saturday

Playing with my new camera at SuzAnna's last Saturday, I managed to snap some bits of pretty pink to share with you today. Seems roses are still blooming despite that pre-Autumn morning nip in the air!

A pale silk blossom on a quilted satin box ~ keepsakes, jewelery, love letters, could be safely hidden here. Did you save love letters from the past?

A delicate porcelain rose on a china box. What sweet memories could one tuck inside. Perhaps trinkets and notes, any small items from childhood such as tiny toys, maybe even baby teeth. The rose garland on this vintage platter is pretty.

Be sure to visit our Pink Saturday hostess, Beverly, at How Sweet The Sound where you will find many wonderful blogs displaying pink today........and have a fabulous weekend.

  12. The pale pinks are so pretty. Love letters, I think I have a few tucked away somewhere from my husband to be. He use to write to me how "wornderful" I was. I still tease him about that.

  21. I do have all the letters Jos wrote me to me before I immigrated to Holland. I have them tied with a ribbon but a quilted pouch would be a sweet way to save these old memories. Humm...I feel another project coming on. :-)

Just back from a longer stay at Cranberry Cottage. Tomorrow is back to work for Jos and he is already starting to go through his emails. :-( It was nice to ignore his work for two weeks.

    Hugs ~

  28. Dear, Mary. I am charmed by your pink discoveries at Suzanna's. That a storehouse of wonderful things.

I love the butter pats, too. I recognized the Nippon ones as soon as I saw the photo.

Congratulations on your new camera. I use and Olympus, and I love it. I have been using Olympus cameras since the 1970s.

Happy Pink Saturday. Oh, I purchased a new computer today. Now I just have to get everything installed, configured and recovered. Plus, I have to work tomorrow. I will be over your way the next few days. I'll be working on Wake Forest just off of the beltline.
