I'm busy collecting pumpkins, squash and gourds. My indoor decor for this loveliest season will be simple this year. The table laden with Nature's Autumn bounty.
September 22 - The hedges are full of berries now. Hips and Haws; Elderberries and Blackberries are the most conspicuous, also the bright crimson berries of the Bittersweet. There is a plentiful crop of Acorns and Chestnuts.

Hi Mary,
ReplyDeleteI love the stylish simplicity of your autumn table, just fab!

Nature indeed provides us with beauty in the autumn season. There are pumpkins, squash, and gourds sitting on my front porch.
ReplyDeleteI love the natural fall look you are decorating with. It looks wonderful in your French inspired home.
ReplyDeleteWe are under flash flood warnings today in Hendersonville and Asheville. But the area I live in and my new home are not in harms way.
Hugs,
Penny
Although some of mine are faux -- fall to me is pumpkins, gourds, leaves and bittersweet. Beautiful picture
ReplyDeleteHi dear! Smae here! Keeping it simple too! You're table is looking gorgeous, love the dislpayed gourds. They look great! Looking forward to seeing you! Love, Vanessa
ReplyDeleteDear Mary, thank you so much for the painting tips ... I am ready to begin. Enjoy this wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteI am very glad it is here! Lovely Post and I love your new header!

helloo, thanks for stopping by, just *had to come over and say that I grew up in Bovey Tracey, small world heh?
ReplyDeleteall my family are from there - we moved to the south east later. If there is one place I would go back to in the UK it would be Devon, tho I know it has changed enormously from the days of the A303 and it's long long journey and where life was so totally different to elsewhere, I think it's lost that now but anyhooo...
I'd love the journal of an Edwardian Lady - from your excerpt sounds like it would be right up my street, funny I've never come across it, although now I would have to turn it upside down and surely there are no hedgerows and the like here on the coast, so miss that
nice to meet you ;-) happy blogging

Mary, I knew I'd be in for a treat when I saw that you had started decorating for fall. Simplicity is good. As for me, I have been getting ready for a big rummage sale and have weeded out the bad autumn stuff from the good. I cleaned my living room and dining room today so that I could do my decorating tomorrow.
ReplyDeletePS - I love your new banner.
Is that really a pic from your house? It's so lovely looking.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments on Jerusalem video. how fascinating and your comment was perfect. It;s sad as i think both England and the US have seen their best days behind them.
BTw, I'd like to follow your blog. I don;t see anywhere to do this. Am I missing it?
Thank you so much for the link to PhotoScape. Seriously, I can't thank you enough for this brilliant little programme. So I've done a post about it on the BladeRubber blog and my own as well! I used your photo (hope that's OK - copyright credit to you of course). If you don't want me to use the photo I'll remove it immediately.
ReplyDeleteOh boy, is this going to make my life simpler!
Oh, nature does provide the most beautiful decor. Simple, but man can do nothing to match it. I love the pictures you are taking! A new camera -- be still my heart! ;)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Lynn
I like this! Now all I need to do is convince my husband to move the harvest table into the dining room from its current location. I definitely would like a simple autumn statement.
ReplyDeleteGuess it's time to get the pumpkins set out. My daughter and I saw some today, but we were in a hurry so we didn't buy any. Guess we have to go pumpkin shopping!
