Some little pink peeks from our quick visit to Boise, Idaho. We loved this town and it's magnificent State Capitol building (undergoing a huge rehab so we couldn't tour inside) designed after The Capitol in Washington, D.C.

The locals were friendly - an ex-congressman stopped to chat and shared some history with us.
Sidewalk sign for the fabulous French bakery/restaurant, La Vie en Rose, where we ate the best pastries ever.
Starbucks was in a historic building with a pink turret.
The palest pink bike waiting for a rider.
Boise's beautiful (aren't they all) Anthropologie store displaying the prettiest deep rosy pink sweater.
Profusion of pink petunias at the famous Basque restaurant Leku Ona.
Boise, Idaho, looked like a really nice place to live.

I hate to be a broken record, but it's cold and gloomy here today and it rained all day yesterday! Hoping that I can get outside a bit to check out my gardens☺ Pink Saturday is bringing a little much needed and very welcome color into my home today. Thanks so much for participating. It's always so nice to visit your blog and see what's going on.

I love all the pinks you chose to share with us, but that turret at Starbucks is most unusual. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip Boise. I hope you are having a wonderful day.

ReplyDeleteWhat a precious pink bicycle... the perfect shade. I'd like to have it, if only to lean against the fence.

Pleasant weekend :-)

I have friends in Boise ... and yes, it is a great place to live. On my migration West I got so thoroughly lost in Boise I thought I would never make it to Bend ... a mere four+ hours away! I had to call those friends to help me navigate out.
ReplyDeleteSuper cool pinks!

Hello dear Mary, yes, I have a full mountain view while lounging on the hammock. This deck is below the upper deck I have shown in the past. We have not put anything down there except the hammock. I do have plans though, but not this year. Between the new rose beds we will have some wide steps installed to get to the lily garden and the bird bath and bench. A work in progress.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your post today about Boise, Idaho. You and Jasmin look like you are having a fine time. The pink turret is pretty neat on that building. It really stands out.
We are looking forward to Oct. as well. I hope you are doing as well as can be Mary.
Love and hugs, Jeanne

ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteYou are right!! Where have I been?? I think that the few times I could sit down and blog over the past 3 weeks, I must have just missed you on my blogroll. I would never miss one of your posts!!
So I started off in Utah, at Bear Lake, and here I am!!
I don't suppose you care to go back to old posts for my comments, but if you do, check the times because I think I have been following you around for the better part of an hour!!
Boise was one of my favorite stops on your trip. The French restaurant and brioche was the clincher!!
Now I need to rest my eyes. I am really glad you are home! ;-)
