Pink Saturday

If I was to ever paint a room pink I think it would be this pink. Warm, rosy, somewhat intense. A pink you would be surprised by. Not at all wishy washy. Yes, if I was going pink, this would be the right one for me.
This was in one of those large shops with individual booths for rent, most crammed and jammed with stuff. Some owners had just returned from a major Gift Show with the latest 'in things' of the decorating world ~ expensive mass produced merchandise.

But here, in the rosy pink 'room', the owner had tried hard to make a warm, individual space filled with what may have been one of a kind items. My favorites of course were the chandeliers. Elegance and romance personified. Small chandeliers of lovely design. Hanging from the rafters they really sparkled in the pink room and looked quite beautiful.

Have a wonderful Pink Saturday and be sure to visit Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for a long list of friends who are joining in this week.

  1. Did you shop at that place on Edwards Mill Road, Mary? I can't recall the name of the place, but I love it! That pink would be a wonderful choice! It's nearly what our front entry is.

When I get well - let's get together. Vanessa should be home in a few days, too!

  2. Hi Mary (again tonight!)

I do like the pink in this shop~sort of a cotton candy pink, but the golds and silvers of the chandeliers stand out very well with this color.

Great Pink Saturday post and love to visit!

  3. Pinks are hard, I am not a pastel person, so I went for a darker shade in our bedroom and we really like it. Called Rasberry Parfait, check a couple days back , Met Monday post to see the color.
Like that chandelier you are showing.

  4. Love the pink. ALthough I just repainted a room that was pink, it was just too much for the room was small. Happy PS.

  10. Thanks for stopping by La Chambre Rose! I need North Carolina now, in a big way! But, I have always dreamed of living in the home of my ancestors, England. I guess New England will cure me of that one. I love the pink and black in the room you are showing. Of course, so French.

  15. I would love a new chandelier for our dining room, but it hasn't made it to the top of my to do list yet. The one we have is the standard classic brass. Maybe I should add some shades.

    Happy Pink Saturday, Mary.

  20. Mary:
The template I used was Harbor. Heidi had to help me, because my title would not show dark enough. I am not good at doing things.
I love that shade of pink too. That must have been a fun room to browse in.

  24. Hi Mary,
lovely Pink Saturday post. The shade of pink is perfect and I truly love it because it reminds me of when my mother painted our living room that same color. Mom was ahead of her time..she's always been that way! LOL!

Hope you had a great Pink Saturday!
