I love PINK lampshades.. Love the pale 'face powder' shaded shadows they cast in a room.
Here a swirled chiffon shade I made.
Below, an experiment with tea dyed cheesecloth I used to decorate a plain ready made shade to get the powder pink look.

ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteYour experiment turned out pretty good! Love all the pink shades.
Hope your day is a great one,
Diane
Happy Pink Saturday, Mary. I am so glad you were able to make it.
ReplyDeleteA pink glow makes everything prettier. I love these lampshades.
I love the little lady in pink on your left border. I like pink a lot, but red and navy are my favorite colors. Heidi has now made me think I want to do a room in USA.

Mary, I love your shades of pink! ;-) The picture from the magazine is one of my favorite color combinations with the rose and cream of the shade and the gray-blue wall behind it. The roses and alstromeria are lovely and accented by the color of the straw hat.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharring the loveliness,
Christi
What fun lampshades. How creative of you to think of Cheesecloth for the second one. I like it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday to you...

ReplyDeleteMary, I've missed reading your blog while away.
ReplyDeleteI am happy to be home, but didn't come home to quite what I expected. To the contrary, there was an extremely unexpected turn of events.
I'm doing a bit of catching up and trying to get cheered up after losing a dear friend this week. The sweet picture of you on the ocean liner made me smile. Really smile. I appreciate that so much right now.
Lynn
The pink shade you made is just wonderful! I wouldn't know where to begin to create something like that. Oh, I got such a kick out of your Family Foto picture! Yes, we used to call them "ocean liners" and we ALWAYS dressed up no matter WHERE we were going! I used to work for hours to get my hair to "flip"--looks like you had a good one going! What fun.
ReplyDeleteLove those cute lamps .I really love lamps you know . Your so smart Mary, putting that scarf on the shade like that !
ReplyDeleteLamp shades are fabulous....great ideas..
