A Great Sentimental Idea

Theresa at Take A Sentimental Journey is busy planning a lovely Mommie Tribute to be held on her blog May 6. This is a great idea.........you can post a special treasured picture and story about your mother, grandmother, guardian etc. I have already sent off a picture of a younger, slimmer, different hair color me, along with my late dear mum, taken when she came across the pond on one of her eagerly anticipated visits to the USA some 20 years ago!

So hurry over to meet Theresa if you haven't done so yet. She has listed the details of the tribute. Her blog is quite new, she is delightful, and waiting to make new friends to share the ups and downs of life........and it seems most are ups, yippee.........via her blog.

A tribute close to Mother's Day will be really nice - hopefully many of you will participate and make Theresa's efforts worthwhile. I'll be looking for you!!

  8. Mary, I so enjoyed reading all your posts I missed. I'm happy your issues with blogger have been resolved!

I've been taking care of the elderly gentleman, I live with. He's up and about more today! Feeling much better, each day!

  9. I have been so lax in commenting but I have been reading you! I have to admit, I have copped your illustration. I won't use it this year though. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, they say.

I did my tribute to Mom on her birthday in October but I am sure I can come up with something new for MD. It's been 20 years and I still miss her.

  11. A lovely idea and I will visit Theresa after this chat. My daughter and hubby are off to New York next weekend so we have decided to have an early Mother's Day celebration at Thatchwick instead. I have invited ten folk, including Cath and Ryan, of course. I am doing all the cooking/baking myself voluntarily! These days living alone I love nothing better than an excuse to celebrate and fill the table with guests. I have just finished baking a French chocolate and almond cake for dessert. Hopefully there will be some photos on the next blog. Oh and next trip to France, Giverney is a must. We took a Golden City tour from just near the Louvre as the village is quite difficult to find.
Have a lovely week! Warm wishes from Eleanor

  14. Darn, I missed this... I just had my Dad scan a beautiful, young photo of my mother that truly makes her look like a movie star. Well, I will just have to stick to my own blog. But, I will go see the tributes.

    Hugfully, KJ
