I was excited about visiting the Sleepy Poet Antique Mall in Charlotte, NC. The gals at SuzAnna's here in Raleigh told me about it ~ 50,000 sq.ft. of antiques/vintage shopping ~ AND a special blogger's booth belonging to Janna of Artsy Fartsy Junk Finds.
These pics are of Janna's junk finds in and around North Carolina.
Janna has a great eye and displays her vintage stuff so well.

Her colors are mostly pale, neutral or muted.......................

Look at this old wooden dog bed - Janna suggests using it as a centerpiece on a large farm style table - that would be a conversation piece!
Necklaces are eye-catching, made by Janna and her husband, and are available on her blog.

All pics on this post taken by me last weekend at the Sleepy Poet Antique Mall - more pics and stories from Janna's road trips on her fun blog.

Now I'm just dying to get there! Loved all the pales and off white. So serene... simply beautiful! I'm going to say "hello" to her. Love! Vanessa

Goodness Mary! You will keep me busy when I get around to visiting my aunt in Raleigh/Durham as I will be wanting to stop and see all of these places on the way there!! Charlotte is around a 3 hour drive from here. It would also make a good day trip if we left early enough! I can hear hubby groaning now, but he'll enjoy it as much as I will.
ReplyDeleteTake Care!

Hi Mary
ReplyDeleteBeth whose blog is Olde Tyme Marketplace has a booth right beside Artsy Fartsy and I think perhaps some of the photos showed her stuff too. Both of them have lots of wonderful items!
I'm using my Magnolia lotion every day and loving it!
Hugs, Rhondi
Mary, the chair in the first pictures brought back childhood memories. We use to have two of those metal chairs and I would put them on their sides with the tops touching and I had the most wonderful stagecoach you can imagine. I rode a many a mile down that dusty trail!
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, I can't thank say thank you enough for the pics of my booths at the Sleepy Poet. What an awesome surprise!! I look forward to meeting you! I hate you missed snapping some photos of Beth's Olde Tyme Marketplace booth next to me, she also has some great pieces and displays. You will have to contact me the next time you are in town and we can meet up for lunch. The folks over at The Sleepy Poet enjoyed your visit! Bigs Hugs, Janna
