Pink Saturday

My sweet pink roses from last week are gone.............but not far. They are now hanging from the chandelier in the potting shed, drying to a dusty, crinkly, muted pink.

Once dried, the roses will join these. They are lovely in their second life....................sometimes I use them to add to a gift wrap.

A rose is a rose......is a rose. A beautiful flower loved by just about everyone.
Visit How Sweet The Sound, our lovely Beverly's blog to see today's list of Pink Saturday participants....................and have a good weekend.

  1. Wonderful idea for a second life for the roses.

BTW - we drove through the village near Carccassone where your relatives live. We were exploring and I told my husband that you had family there.

  6. HAPPY PINK SATURDAY!
I love to dry roses, too. I just can't bear to throw them in the trash, so I have dried roses sitting around the house in many different places. I love the way your pink ones are drying and the idea of using them on a package!
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  8. Good morning Mary. Your beautiful roses just make me smile. I have always dried roses too. Lately I have not received any but I am growing some knock out roses in front of our deck downstairs. PINK of course. They are still blooming but not for long. Winter is knocking on our door.

Have a wonderful weekend my friend.

    Love, Jeanne

  10. Hi Mary...
Happy Pink Saturday sweetie. I so love this post. Your roses are just exquisite, and I love them displayed in the little tea pot. Then to attach one to a package with the twine, it is so devine. I just love the way that it looks. Thank you for sharing sweetie.

How is Miss Jasmine doing? I think of her every pink post. She was such a delight to visit. Please tell her hello for me.

Please stop by and say hi. I would so love to share my pink post with you.

    Country hugs...Sherry

  18. I just threw out petals from the last rose of the year. I get such pleasure from each rose from that bush because it belonged to my mother. I have transplanted it twice now and so far so good. A rose indeed!

  28. I'm none too sure faded and dried roses like this aren't more beautiful than fresh ones - more romantic, certainly. And I love the vintage finish you have put on the pix.

Happy Pink Saturday - I'm sorry I'm so shamefully late, but trying to prepare for this show (middle of next week) has totally thrown me into panic mode, and I'm getting nowhere fast! Hence I haven't done my visiting (it didn't help I was teaching 2 classes Saturday, and 1 on Sunday).
