A surprise. I didn't tell you..................I brought home one special treasure from the Open House. This sleeping cherub with the tiny bird on its hip. Peace, joy, hope.................it said all to me. I plan to use it gently when I decorate for Christmas. Until then, it slumbers silently on my hearth asking for nothing but to rest.

Dear Mary, I can see why you loved your sweet cherub, he is just precious! I would have loved him too! xxoo, Dawn
ReplyDeleteOh Mary - I would have chosen this one as well - birds and cherubs, what more could one want.
ReplyDeleteWe got home this evening and I found your message. Thank you for wishing us a safe trip, even though I found it after we returned!
All went well this trip. Must turn in now - will be on my blog some tomorrow.
Hugs,
Deborah
I can see why you wanted it--it really is darling.
ReplyDeleteAh, this is just the cutest thing! I can see why you did bring this little one home with you. I was also admiring your hearth screen which I just love.
ReplyDeleteAlthough this little one will look beautiful at Christmas, he looks like he could stay out much more than just for the holiday season. He would be far too adorable to put away too quickly.
Monday morning here now and I am hoping you will have an inspired start to you week when you awaken yourself dear Mary!
Hugs ~
Heidi
Oh, it is so precious! I love cherubs! It is peacefully resting by your fireplace!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely treasure - I can see why you wanted it ... as soon as I saw the birds :-}
ReplyDeleteWith as many posessions as we are blessed with, it is amazing to me how occasionally something will "sing out to my soul" and I'll have to own it forever. It can be of little value to anyone else...but it is kindred to my spirit. Maybe your little cherub with the bird attending him is like that.
ReplyDeletei LOVE YOUR SWEET LITTLE CHERUB. VERY CUTE DISPLAY. LOVE IT VERY MUCH.
