I'm back from a pleasant trip and will post a few more photos when I get them organized.
I have special friends who travel to very exotic places in the world ~ Africa on Safari, the Antarctic on board Russian ice breakers, tiny Easter Island and Tahiti in the wide Pacific Ocean, and so many other places few of us ever visit.
My dear Washington State friend Patti, and her dh, leave next weekend on another of their romantic trips, this time to Romania and Bulgaria. Names such as Bucharest and Sofia are familiar, but journeying into Transylvania to actually trek to Vlad Tepes - Dracula's castle - how thrilling that will be!
Welcome home.
ReplyDeleteI love the card you made for your friends. It will surely give them a smile, and a reminder of a dear friend while on their trip. How fortunate they are to be able to experience such intriguing place.
Beautiful collages, Mary. I love your color choices.
ReplyDeleteMary, the card is great! Sounds like a wonderful trip. Dracula's castle! WOW!
ReplyDeleteGood to see you back from your trip.
Pat
Glad you are home safe and sound. Your friends trip sounds really nice. I love traveling and next Monday, I will be off to visit Heidi in Holland.
ReplyDeleteGood to be home again? There is nothing wrong with traveling around you too. Jos and I love spending time right here in Holland. There is more beauty around us than we often realize. We always seem to want to travel far for it and miss it on our own doorsteps. Now I think Romania and Bulgaria might be beautiful but not too sure about a visit to Dracula. He is probably a real pain in the neck during vacation. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to your photos soon and will be answering your email now that you are back. If you don't get it, please let me know. I am having trouble sending emails to certain servers. I will try to send one tonight or tomorrow my friend.
Hugs ~
Heidi
Hi Mary
ReplyDeleteWelcome back. I missed you! It sounds like you had a good time Whenever I visit important historic sites I always try to imagine what it was like at the time. Little did those men at Gettysburg know that they would be forever in our history books. The tags you made for your friends are wonderfully creative.
