Friends, fun and frivolity

Another fun blog thing..........................one gets to meet new friends in person..........and not necessarily wearing fancy hats or pinned with notes like this gal. Yesterday I spent a delightful time with Deborah from Pictures, Pots & Pens . We met online and found we live a couple of miles apart. She'd been wanting to visit SuzAnna's so we made a date to shop and eat.

We spent time browsing and shopping - SuzAnna's treasures become more exciting and interesting each visit. Here we are chatting over lunch at "Cafe Capistrano" - great freshly prepared TexMex food. Aren't we angelic looking!!

Discovered we both love chairs - here's a cute white child size rocker - perfect for one of those pumpkin displays, and that iron bed would be great in the garden for real vines to twist and climb. This Sunday ALL the chairs will be pulled down from the rafters, placed outside for a huge "chair sale". What fun - will try to get back for that event. Those gals really know how to entice treasure hunters.

This chair is adorable!

Deborah came bearing a delightful and thoughtful gift - this very lovely and unusual chrysanthemum which is now keeping my pumpkin company on the front porch. Thank you so much Deborah - it's so pretty.
I believe that friends are quiet angels who sit on our shoulders and lift our wings when we forget how to fly~~~~~~~~~~Unknown

  1. What a joy to come here this morning and relive our time together yesterday! Thank you for introducing me to the ladies at SuzAnna's - I will be going back to 'plunder' through their delights again. Here's to next time!
    Hugs,
    Deborah

  2. Hi! Me again ... perhaps I should clarify. I didn't mean to 'plunder' as in taking from the enemy!! LOL! 'Plunder' is a term sometime used by country folk around here to mean one is searching through things! Didn't want you to get the wrong idea of me!!
    Have a wonderful day!

  7. Mary,
Thank YOU for visiting my blog and for your kind comments :)
I am from Bedfordshire... it has been almost 9 years since I made it home (kids...), but we're planning a trip next year!
As to the music... you can click on the player on my page... there is a link to the website to set one up of your own :) You just search for the music and add it!
It gives you all the code and everything... one of the easier additions to my blog!

I am loving your wonderful autumnal photos... very inspirational!

  8. I have a thing about chairs. I must not bring any more home, though. How wonderful that blogging friends can get together. I don't think it will happen in this "remote" location.

  9. Did you leave that adorable white child's rocker at the shops? It would look wonderful with a pumpkin display. It is great that you were able to meet up with an online friend. DH had just read an article by a Dutch so called expert that says you cannot have online friends. Not true! What a sad man he was, was my only thought while Jos was reading me that article.

The mums are so pretty and work really well beside the pumpkin. It sounds like you had a wonderful day with Deborah.
