I so enjoyed all your comments regarding dust and dusting. Seems we're in agreement, life has so much more to offer than stressing over dust bunnies and the ability to write one's name in elegant calligraphy on the dusty furniture!!This week, while checking the 'to do' list, instead of Fall cleaning in the house, I decided to clean up outside! Made the most of a beautiful dry sunny spell with lower temperatures and minimal humidity.

Now the front porch is clean and bright, ready for some seasonal Autumn decorating.........soon.
See you at the pumpkin patch......just hope they have white ones!

Hi Mary
ReplyDeleteI haven't been by for a visit in awhile, but I have a little free time this morning so I'm catching up on some of my old friends in blogland. Isn't this weather we're getting just great! Your porch looks so inviting. Our porch has been very neglected and is in need a good scrub. Now that the weather is better we will sit out there again. Hope you enjoy this labor day weekend.

OH white ones are the best! Sometimes really pricey though. Let me know if you find a good pumpkin patch!

I am in love with your porch! Although you have had some wretched heat this summer, I do envy the nice temps you have all year long...
ReplyDeleteSoon I will have to store all my patio furniture, decorations and pots away until next May. But, I love that snow!!!
Hoping your holiday weekend is going well. We are getting a late start to the Lakehouse. I am still hoping for red tomatoes. I think I am officially cursed!! ;-)

Dear Mary, the colors on your porch are just so refreshing and welcoming. Makes me wish for a porch! Decks will have to do for now. Enjoy this week ......
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteWhat an attractive post. You have taken extra time to frame your lovely pictures - just stunning!

I wish I could be outside and doing things like that and my daughter definitely does, but for now we look out the hospital window . I am using her laptop so visiting my friends in blogland is an escape! You have so many cute items on your porch I'll need to show my daughter too. She is always changing things on her porch.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good weekend!
I LOVE your front porch - - - both BEFORE and AFTER the cleaning!
ReplyDeleteOh to have a porch... especially with this cool early fall weather. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Christi
And this is why you are called 'The Front Porch Lady' to my mother and I. :-)
