You know how we search for vintage places to shop, always ready to open the door, cross the threshold, peek round the corner in search of a treasure to bring home or give as a gift..........
Street in Arles, Provence - June 2006
Here's a new blogger who has her very own shop in Pennsylvania.
Les Baux de Provence ~ June 2006
Some doors we can't enter to view the mysteries they hide, but I'm certain Verna's will be open for business. Do stop by and visit ~ you'll met Sondra too!
Edited: Today you can also meet Carmela and see Sweet Pea's Boutique
at The Cottonwood House too!

I had a look at Cottonwood, what a lovely site! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteLike you I love the old, the 'slightly used', the peeling paint!
By the Way, you have an award to collect from me!
ReplyDeleteI will be off to Cottonwood and meet Verna this afternoon. I love your pics of Arles. Richard and I had a trip planned (tickets purchased etc) to Arles in 2003 and he took ill three weeks before departure. Another time...I also want to visit the famous beaches at Normandy and walk among the poppies in the WWI graveyards one day and weep! I will still blog about the upcoming trip. I am presenting a paper at a conference in Florence from 22-25 July. Flying Air France over Paris gives me the chance to hop off for the weekend. Just my all time favourite places in Europe - Paris and Florence! Have alovely day and it always a pleasure to visit you! Love Eleanor
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, Great door photos. I am going to visit Cottonwood after this post. Can't wait to see what you recommend.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy day.
Jeanne
Thanks for the tip, Mary. I will visit today.
ReplyDeleteI think I am vintage with peeling paint, too. I hope that makes me more appealing. ;-)
Good morning, Mary,
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting us know about another wonderful new blogger.
I posted yesterday about a new blogger - she is a cousin of mine!
Nicholas is on his way here for the day. I leave for West Virginia next Friday for a little family reunion. It will be bittersweet, but I'm glad to be going to see those I haven't see for so long.
I'm off to The Cottonwood House now!
Hello to Bob!
Hugs,
Deborah
That blue gate in Torquay is wonderful against that lovely stone wall!
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, Thanks for posting me on your blog! You are the best! I love all your pictures and how you put them all together, especially the blue door. I would love to meet you in person some day. I have already heard from some of your friends. Have an awesome day!!!
ReplyDeleteMary:
ReplyDeleteVery nice doors. I like the blue one best. Wonder what is behind it? Have a wonderful day.

ReplyDeleteLovely photos and I will be off to visit this store online in just a mo. Thank you for the link. Sounds great.
ReplyDeleteWhat IS it about seeing something vintage or an old stone home with those shutters that makes my heart beat a little faster.........
ReplyDeleteLove your photos here. Cottonwood House looks delightful...sure wish it were located in my area. I think I'd have a hard time staying away!
