I'm taking a break for a few days. May hang out here in my garden. I've been having frustrating computer problems for several days, and I have projects needing attention, including my big trip to France. I'll turn the ceiling fan on high in the gazebo, and have a steady stream of lemonade swirling over ice in the big glass pitcher - must beat the heat somehow.
On second thoughts, just heard it will be 100 degrees again, perhaps I'll just do all that planning inside the house!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving such great comments this past week, I love to hear from you and truly appreciate your friendship.

Hey, is that your gazebo?!
ReplyDeleteGreat magazine Mary! I love your Gazebo! I should be taking a break too got so many things to be done. Enjoy your beautiful backyard and I'll talk to you later! Hugs, Vanessa

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by last night.
AND for your kind comments. My husband is enroute right now.. its a 32 hr trip because of 3 layovers.
I accidentally deleted my whole post so am stopping by to say stay cool... and you are right.. inside in the AC is probably the best right now for all of us in this latest heat wave.
Have fun planning your trip to France.
Mim
Your temperatures call for an ice cold icecafe with a generous dollop of vanilla ice cream floating in it. We are supposed to have a hot weekend coming up and everyone here is complaining about the cool temperatures and rain except me. I will complain if it gets too hot instead. :)
ReplyDeleteProjects? What kinds of fun things are you planning? We are also working on starting projects and first on our list is the laundry room. Have to go back for the paint as they would not mix it for us last night. Dutch service is sorry lady but we turned off our mixer and this was half an hour before closing time. Uugh! Oh well. That is life in this funny country.
Is Bob home or away again? He is always on the go. I hope you do get some time to relax and enjoy sitting in your pretty gazebo.
Hugs ~
Heidi
Yes, mmm, this is my gazebo! All screened and a safe haven from the terrible mosquitoes when I'm outside - they are awful this Summer!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by - I've been reading about your expeditions!
Mary.
What a perfect place to spend a afternoon!
ReplyDeleteStay cool, dear bloggy friend, and hope you get that pesky computer working soon! :)
ReplyDeleteYour gazebo is so beautiful.
Mary:
ReplyDeleteHave some very fun and relaxing time off. We will miss you but great to be planning your trip. Try to stay cool now.
Nancy
Very pretty gazebo! So you are going to France?? Lucky you!! Sounds great to me.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day,
Diane
My suggestion is to definitely stick with the ac this week. It is just too hot and muggy.
ReplyDeleteGreat magazine cover. These magazine covers have been so much fun.
Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time in the gazebo!!
ReplyDeleteI am just catching up on the blogs. I have been busy too.
Enjoy your day!

when my computer ain't happy, ain't nobody happy , because I go into panic mode when something happens to my computer ! :0) :0)
ReplyDeleteHave a great break and enjoy it.
Mary, a momentary break from my gang. All asleep! The Gazebo is something I sort of want and can't decide. Hope your computer is ok. Gad! I hate computer problems. Relax and enjoy a few days off. I am still hoping to meet you in early August.
ReplyDeleteLove YA, Jeanne
Hi Mary
ReplyDeleteHow do I get a subscription to that magazine? The cover looks so inviting. This heat is terrible isn't it? I've been holed up inside sewing on quilts, only going outside to feed the fish in our pond and get the mail!
Enjoy your break.
Hugs, Rhondi
I think I am going to join you for a brief break... I have 2 projects for others that must be completed this week.... Will return soon as I enjoy your blog very , very much....
ReplyDeleteMary, a note to answer your question about the wedding. My son has been divorced several years and he is marrying a wonderful girl who has been divorced as well. They are getting married here on Sat. 26th. It is just immediate and local Aunt and Uncles. About thirty people. I am having the reception in my home. The trick is to somehow get my home in perfect order and stow away tons of baggage out of sight. Oh, and find sleeping space for six more family members.
ReplyDeleteAren't you glad you asked? Smile.
Jeanne
Mary, Enjoy your time off...computer problems are always a trial but somehow get resolved - one way or another!
ReplyDeleteStay in the A/C is my advice! The lemonade will stay cool longer!
~Jean
I love the gazebo and I'll come over and join you for some lemonade. Enjoy your break!!
ReplyDeleteHi Mary,
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break! I was thinking about you yesterday. My first issue of Country Living British edition arrived in the mail. I have had some much fun looking through it! I wanted to thank you again for the link to order a subscription.
Hugs,
Penny
Mary, Stop by my blog when you can, I have an award for you! You have been an inspiration to me in the few short months I've been blogging...thank you!
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteSeems like a long time since I've been by but so much has happened in our lives.....
I like your gazebo...I'll have a glass of your lemonade....Betty
I am so sorry it is terribly hot there. We have had a gorgeous summer after the rains stopped in mid-June. Fortunately, it has gotten into the 90s only a couple of times. ND can get really hot - I have seen it get to 113 degrees. It has been just hot enough to enjoy some nice tall lemonades!
ReplyDeleteOK Mary, you were just a young thing in 1964, how is it that you are still just a young thing! xo, suzy
ReplyDeleteWow. that is your gazebo!! I hope they paid you handsomely for photographing it. how lovely to have it preserved in some lovely magazine!
ReplyDeleteYour gazebo is SO pretty, Mary. BUT I agree, this southern heat is not nice. Give me the good old a/c.
ReplyDeleteI'm longing for France and I sure hope we get the cooler weather we're both hoping for when we get there.
