Today I'm dressing up - my son is taking me to a belated Mother's Day brunch at a very nice restaurant. Hopefully the crowds will be smaller, the decibels lower, the fish fresher, and I can enjoy a conversation with my 'boy'.

Have a wonderful time with your son today, Mary. I know I always enjoy being with mine - we have so much in common.
ReplyDeleteThat print is lovely.
I am sure you had a wonderful lunch with your son. Isn't it great we are friends with our grown up children. I am off to the airport in the next hour to fetch my younger daughter and her hubby who are arriving back from their first trip to the US: New York and Atlanta. My daughter is also a unviversity lecturer and interior architect and she gave a paper at a conference in Atlanta. She and her husband had a great time crunching the Big Apple. Now I can't wait to hear the stories firsthand AND to get my digital camera back so I can take some pics for the blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks you always for your kind visits and comments. Indeed I have also been thinking about printing my blogs and binding them so your suggestion has inspired me. I also want to 'do' a blog about our writing social history via our blogs. Imagine the fun archeologists and social historians will have in a couple of centuries time! Love Eleanor
Have a lovely time . Sons are very special arent they!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day Mary.
ReplyDeleteLovely Victorian print.
you know, you can really take advantage of things here if you're shrewd enough. To honour your background, you really need to have your kids and husband do Mothering Sunday and Mother's Day for you. That should about do it.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary! I can't wait til little Luna is taking me out for a Mother's Day brunch! Hope you have a lovely time with your son! Kisses, Vanessa
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful time with your sweet son, Mary! Happy Mother's Day ~ xxoo, Dawn
ReplyDeleteWishing you are delightful lunch with your son Mary! It might be a blessing to do it now instead of the busy Mother's Day. I love opting for less busy times to do anything in life. Enjoy your Sunday and your time with your son!
ReplyDeleteHugs ~

p.s. love that print.
Hello Mary, Your date with your son is probably over by now. Hope it was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love the print. I used to be in the antique business after I retired, just about 6 yrs. My sisters have been in the antique business for over 20 years, and they specialize in Victorian prints etc. We did the Scott show in Atlanta together for 6 years until I stopped doing it. They still do that show every month. Great fun and I still love antiques.
Blessings, Jeanne.
Hello Mary...I know you must have thoroughly enjoyed lunch with your son! It sounds wonderful!
