Just a little filler as I wend my way home along the wet highway later today. More on my mountain weekend coming later. Let's just say the people were great, the food delicious, the treasure hunting successful................but the mountains almost invisible through the rain and fog.
Top of a beautiful mirror.
These pics are from a recent visit to Suzanna's Antiques in Raleigh.....you know by now that this is my favorite place!
Love to take a trip.....................love to get home again!

If I were there I think that would be my favorite place too. Looking forward to the sight seeing pictures.

Hi Mary .... can't wait for more! I love the look of mountains through rain and fog even though their beauty and majesty is obscured. My last house guest has departed and as soon as I remove the considerable mess from the table top, I will begin restoration in earnest.
ReplyDeleteOh, my eye was immediately drawn to those cushions in the last photo! Your photos all seem to have a floral theme...don't know if you intended that, but it is lovely.
ReplyDeleteIf I am ever down that way I am stopping there!
ReplyDeleteEnjoying your blog, especially your photos. What a treat. ~PJ
ReplyDeleteI haven't been blog reading for a while but it good to get back to see all you have been up to.

I look forward to hearing about your weekend. It is indeed always nice to go, but then nice to get home again.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had a good time.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I agree that there is no place like home.
You will have to tell me where this favorite place of yours is. Maybe we could even meet in Raleigh one day!
ReplyDeleteHello Mary, I saw Penny's post and loved the photos and hearing all about your wonderful time together. I was also wishing I could have been there too. However, we did have a wonderful time with our children and the gator football game. They won in the last 13 seconds of the game. A real cliff hanger.
ReplyDeleteGoing home is always where we want to be no matter how much fun we have. What a shame the rain and fog was so bad. The mountains have not been at their best so far this year. We came home to a chilling 31 degrees.
I am looking forward to your post about your day with Penny and her dh.
I loved your pale pink post of lovely treasures from Suzanna's shop. Sorry I am late getting caught with your posts. I left a comment on your story of leaving England. In case you don't check back on your previous posts.
Wishing you a lovely evening. I am watching dancing with the Stars. Very enjoyable.
Love and hugs, Jeanne
Just love the top of that mirror, so ornate along with the painting of flowers.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful day!, and thanks for all your sweet comments!!!
Take Care,
Ulrike
