Some cool looking garden urns being watched over by a chunky winged cherub........hopefully another lovely fountain will arrive (the other one sold after my friend Vanessa's little Luna took a dip in it last Winter!). We need the sound of soothing, cooling water on these hot, humid Summer treasure hunting days.
Blue and white..........skies, pools, seascapes, t-shirts, but mostly china.........cool, clean, refreshing.
See the stunning Blue Willow turkey platter, it's old and expensive! My Mum had one just like that until, sadly, it was broken. One fewer heirloom to pass down.

Why was I thrilled at the sight of this old tin of talc?
Well talc cools your sticky sunburned skin after a day in the sun. But I love it more for spelling JASMIN the same way as my sweet granddaughter's name........the French spelling. Everyone wants to add an E!

And while we're talking tin....how about this frame made from old tin tile. It looks perfect hanging on a vintage wood wall............if only I had a wall like that.
Are you planning to treasure hunt at the weekend?

They are all lovely treasures Mary! The talc tin is adorable. I also love the winged cherub and the tin frame. I will do my treasure hunting on EBay! It is better for my peace of mind with a four year old in tow.
ReplyDeleteOh SuzAnna! What a lovely place! Thanks for sharing these photos! Wish I could come for a visit! I really like that mosaic chair!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the frame. Would love some like that to put my old family portraits in. Time for me to get out and look. Loved the tour.

I sure love to treasure hunt with you sometime next week! Would be great! I will email you so we can figure out a day and time. Love, Vanessa
ReplyDeleteWow, among the blue and whites in the china cabinet are the autumn colored dishes I inherited from my MIL. I had never seen them anywhere before. Mine live among the blue and white dishes too.
ReplyDeleteThe frame is gorgeous! I love old tins, too.

Ooh, I want that chubby cherub. He would be perfect in my sunroom.
ReplyDeleteThat tin frame is gorgeous! What a beautiful shop! ~Lori
ReplyDeleteDont you think Suzanna would like to open a store in France?
ReplyDeleteYou always amaze me with your pictures!!
ReplyDeleteI love those urns! I am looking for some to put in the last of my flowers that need to be planted. We do have a few good antique stores around here, but I have been so busy working outside. The weather here is so hot and sticky. You can walk outside and get drenched!
ReplyDeleteGot a bum foot right now, so probably not. Afraid me and my cane would get trampled! (Fell in my yard a few weeks ago; sprained ankle.) You know, I've always thrown out dishes I break. But then I thought recently: why not keep them and learn to mosaic? Or if it's only an edge, put them in the dirt in the garden somewhere! Can't believe I didn't think of it before!

If I could find a brochant this weekend I would go. I think I will be going to Lourmarin for the market on Friday.
ReplyDeleteYou just keep finding treasures. I don't look anymore. I have all I can put into this house.
ReplyDeleteLOL.

Well, I am not treasure hunting BUT I wil be going to the Garden tour again this year. Can not wait to see gardens so lovingly cared for and such. sometimes there are EVEn porches as glorious as yours! :)
ReplyDeletethis year it is combined with stuff about attracting birds to your garden. Can't wait. it really is my favourite event of the entire year here.
