I was thinking of spending an hour here in the gazebo..........
Instead I think I'll get myself together, head out to the farmers' market and perhaps even do a little antiques/vintage browsing at some favorite places.
It feels good to feel good again! I have banished the beastly bug from my lungs.......I want fresh air. I want to see my friends........I've missed taking pictures to share with you.
Enjoy your weekend, whatever you decide to do..............but please do something you love, it's good for your soul.

Love your photos and happy to hear you are feeling better. Have fun.

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are going to have a wonderful day. Frash air is exactly what you need now not only for your lungs but for your state of mind. I wish you much luck in finding some new treasures!!!
Thanks for your comments on the new kitchen. I didn't dare say that I was looking to create an English cottage look for fear I was way off target, but that is exactly what I wanted to achieve. Your comments give me hope that I did indeed get the feel of what I wanted.
For the cafe au lait bowls (and much more) I highly recommend that you visit Lidy at French Garden House.com She just got some in and I have been considering some for myself. She is a wonderful lady and you can email her if you have any questions about her shop or wares. Let me know how it works out!

PS It's pouring rain... chin up, Jane!!
I am playing in my studio, going to the market, will probably stop in to a favorite thrift store or two. The day ahead looks sunny and bright!

p.s. glad you are feeling better Mary!
I will be picking cherries and planning/dreaming of traveling in France.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are feeling better. We are having an all girlie, girl swimming party today. The men have gone to NASCAR. QMM, daughter and granddaughters. Should be a nice crowd and also one lovely DIL. Blessed weekend to you.
ReplyDeleteQMM
Glad to hear you are feeling better. Have a good weekend and happy shopping.

I think I would have gone with option one.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary .... I made a huge and quite original pasta/veggie salad this morning. I'm taking it to an afternoon BBQ and to one of our community theatre productions this evening. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteAnd I always love your photos! That angel is so pretty! I spent the morning working on an art challenge. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, and I'm now working on another project, on which I have a lot to figure out yet. I'm so happy that you're feeling well again, Mary! ~Lori
ReplyDeleteIf I were in the area I would be right over. All of your possible plans sound like fun.
ReplyDeleteIt's a joy to feel well again! Our bodies have a way of reminding us to take time for ourselves. Glad that you can get out there and do the things you love! After reading your post yesterday I told my hubby, let's go fishing!!! (I'll put pictures on my post later) We had a great time! I hope that you have had a good weekend too!!
ReplyDeleteOh no, Did I miss you at the shop? We had a great family day with Kyle and some old friends here at a big birthday party on Saturday! I will see you soon!
ReplyDeleteYour day sounds perfect, and I hope it was. I am so happy to read that you are feeling so much better.
ReplyDeleteYesterday I was at home, but it was worth it. I had painters here to paint stripes on one of the walls in our bedroom. It looks just like I envisioned, and I love it.
Plus, I had someone come measure for a new dust ruffle for our bed. I will have to go fabric shopping this week. And, a floor lamp I ordered for our room came, and it looks great.
I've made it my mission to finish the few things I have been wanting to do in our bedroom.
Hi Mary
ReplyDeleteI am glad you finally shook that bug. I blog as a way to journal as well. I don't really need people to comment but every once in awhile I just kind of wonder who is reading that I've never met before. For friends like you, I don't comment every time but often enough so that you know I've stopped by. There are too many blogs to keep up with them all so I just have a handful that I really feel connected with. You being one of them :)
I just noticed this morning the deer have eaten all the buds off the phlox and day lilies right next to our back door. They must have come fright down our driveway last night. The next thing you know they'll be up on our deck peering in the window!!
Hope you have a good week.
Hugs, Rhondi
I am so sorry to hear that you were unwell. It's worse to be sick in the summer, I think. I had a nasty virus one summer that threw me for a loop but still I walked to work every morning for a whole week. Now that was stupid - why didn't I just take some time off and recover on the deck?
