........and would like to find a spot in my kitchen for this.....

When I enquired as to the price - no tags - the cashier thought they were just being used by the booth owner as props. She called her and asked if she'd sell them, she said OK.......a bargain at $3 each. How about those pretty tinted glass drawer pulls. There were dozens in many unusual muted colors and designs.

Above ~ the 'new' old books are the horizontal ones on the right in my dining room dresser.

A few more standing here next to the leather bound French prayer books I found at a French brocante.

French brocante, North Carolina junk store.....who knows what treasures are tucked away in dusty corners waiting to be discovered. Next week I'm off to New England and I've already located a shop I must visit in New Hampshire. Perhaps I'll find something special to share with you.

Those aged books are really divine and the way you have displayed them Mary is perfect! And what a bargain price!
ReplyDeleteLove to find places like this! Look at all of those pretty glass door knobs! There is a place in Deland, Florida called Florida Architechural Salvage that has TONS of these!
ReplyDeleteWish I had bought more! They also had skeleton keys and chandeliers and iron work and old doors and lots more!
I love the glass door knows. I have bought some to replace knobs on desks etc. The books catch my eyes too. Happy hunting.

ReplyDeleteYou definitely need to go back to purchase the cafe sign. I love it.
ReplyDeleteYour dresser looks perfect.
How nice that you can visit a brocante in the US :-)
ReplyDeleteMary, if you go to my blog there is an award waiting for you.
ReplyDeleteMary, that looks like a fun place, love the old books and hardware. Lucky you to be able to shop in France, now that would be a dream of mine. I'd love to go back to Europe & shop at the flea markets there. When I was there 20 years ago, I wasn't into it like I am now.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
Hi Mary, you do find the most interesting treasures. I need to spend a day with you at all your favorite haunts. Here in Franklin there is nothing very interesting to see save a couple of places. I love the French sign but it looks kind of big. The old books are interesting as well. Vintage new, to look old or the real thing is the key to charming treasures.
ReplyDeleteI have been to New England but just driving through. That is a vacation I want to do in the future. How long will you be gone Mary? Will Jasmin go too? It sounds great.
Have a great week Mary.
Love...Jeanne
Ok, now I really have to come to Raleigh and get my aunt to go shopping! We would just love those stores!!! You always find the best treasures!
