Can you believe this? While debating whether to move this wonderful old chipped wood frame to the dining room from upstairs in the hallway, I took a few minutes to look through a folder of magazine tear sheets. I like to pick a sheet to stick up on the 'frig ~ changing it every month or so to something seasonal, pretty, or of interest to me at that time. There I found this collage sheet and realized the frame was almost exactly the same as mine! Question was, how to mount it in the frame to display?
Update on painting chairs ~ One done, five to go!!!

I think that is very interesting and creative! I like it~Tam :D
ReplyDeleteThat's a bit of true serendipty...
ReplyDeleteClever girl!
Love the frame and can't wait to see the chairs!
ReplyDeleteI think you have a wonderful creative mind. I really love that!
ReplyDeleteNow, I love that look. How fun to find the clipping that matches perfectly. Great idea!!!
ReplyDeleteWell I'll have one of those, LOL. A brilliant idea. I also collect interesting and beautiful pictures and then they just lay in a foolder, now I'll know what to do with them. Margaret
ReplyDeleteNice thing about this...you can change it again at a whim. I love this frame. Does the frame now live in the dining room? You have amazing stamina already finishing one chair. As for me...I just sat around and watched a DVD I borrowed from a friend last night of The Holiday. Have you seen it? Now I have to live in Rosehill Cottage. :) Sorry France that I too love but I am off to England...

What I think is spelled SUCCESS! Get moving on those remaining five chairs now ....
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE this!
ReplyDeleteThat looks fabulous, Mary! Great idea!

I like it just as it is - that way, you can change it out - the only thing I would do is to remove one side of the wire- secure the wire to the other side of the frame and hang the frame with a new wire connected somehow to the top of the frame so it doesn't show through...OR..use a cute clothespin to secure the image on the existing wire!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture and great frame
Actually, forget my last post - I love it just the way it is!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Mary!
ReplyDeleteI've just been catching up with you. If I lived nearer, I would really "need" to buy the aqua blue dishes for our blue dining room!
I think it's ingenious, Mary! ...but then, look who did it!
ReplyDeleteLooks like no tea at Suzanna's this Saturday.
xoxoxo,
Deborah
Mary, what a clever idea! What a coincidence of the frames being so similar.
ReplyDeleteI am excited to see the new dining table chairs!
