Although SuzAnna's Antiques hours are a little shorter these days - chilly Winter mornings mean opening hours start at noon - this fabulous antiques/vintage/shabby chic haven is still the best in my area. I try to stop by weekly because there are always new things to see and fall in love with......and the prices are right. As for the staff, nowhere, I repeat nowhere, will you find such great gals who will instantly become your friends forever!
My most recent visit was Friday with blog friends Vanessa at Vanilla Lavender and Deborah at Pictures, Pots & Pens. It was fun to have Vanessa back after her six week trip home to Brazil - lots to chat about as we browsed around the ever changing shop, and of course we each bought a treasure to take home. I was so busy talking I forgot to take photos, however here are some of the treasures I spied at the shop over the past several weeks.

SuzAnna's looks fascinating! I like that old Adirondack chair. Too bad I'm in NJ and that chair is in NC.

Oooh, I see lots of things I'd like to have! Wish I could visit there.
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a wonderful shop, I can see why you stop by weekly. In your pictures I didn't spot one thing that I wouldn't love to have. Thank goodness I wasn't tagging along with you on this visit!
Thank you so much for sharing this great shopping trip!
xoxo

P.S. Thank you for stopping by today! :-)
What a wonderful time you must of had, and how do you cope, I would have to buy everything if I went into that shop!! Fiona
ReplyDeleteAh... Mary what a great time we had didn't we? I love being back and getting to see you gals! You're my family! You have no idea how much I love that "milkglass" area... beautiful pic! Let's plan another visit soon! Love, Vanessa
ReplyDeleteAll the great colors in this post! Spring is definitely on all of our minds and you have provided us with a snippet of what's to come- thank you :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Mary:
ReplyDeleteI feel like I was walking through the shop with you. I liked the clear blue dishes best this time. It is so nice that you got to know these ladies.
Have a good day.

Hi Mary, Wish I lived close enough to visit SuzAnna's! I would love to have some of that milk glass. And I have place setting for 12 of the turquoise "depression" glass! I don't have the covered butter dish and what looks to be larger plates that I see there! I wonder if they still have them and if they ship?
ReplyDeleteOh, how i wish i was there with you, though it seemed i was...dont you just love shopping for great vintage finds? Best to you

I love all that blue depression glass!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Mary, it is very early and since I went to bed at 8:30pm I am wide awake. It's ok with me, I'm taking some time on the computer to catch up. Looking at your photos of Suzanna's makes me long to go there again. Especially if I was with you Vanessa and Deborah. I spied some goodies right away.
ReplyDeleteYesterday Bob went home and I was by myself for the first time in three weeks. I am forever grateful for his wonderful help but He is not a computer person at all, thus, it limited my visits to my blogging friends. sigh.
I hope you have let up on the hard work of your makeover and are taking it easy.
Love and hugs...Jeanne
I so enjoy these little jaunts to your favorite antiques shop! Drooling over some of those goodies too.
ReplyDeleteAlso wanted to say in response to your Aix-en-Provence post, if you have never read M.F.K. Fisher, I think you would very much enjoy "Two Towns in Provence" about her travels to Aix and Marseilles. Or you might find the book about just Aix under "Map of Another Town". Marvelous.
Hi Mary
ReplyDeleteI finally have my laptop back and am catching up on my friends. I have got to come and visit you this spring and you can take me to Susanna's. It just looks like such a great place!
Hope you have a lovely day.
Hugs, Rhondi
I enjoyed the company of you and Vanessa as always!
ReplyDeleteI just love my cottage ottoman from SuzAnna's...I should post a picture of it!
