Pink Saturday

aturday, pink Saturday, what does it matter day!!

If you stuffed yourself with Christmas goodies, drank often to the good health and happiness of absent friends, lost your cat in a mountain of wrapping paper, and slept the sleep of the exhausted - because you were............ it does matter! Yes, Pink Saturday matters. It means a normal day again. Sharing fluffy pink, silly pink, anything pink.................to get you through to the next big bash, New Year's Eve!

My pink stash is hitting rock bottom. Who would have ever known Pink Saturday would be so popular. Many new bloggers are joining in the fun every week.

Some pretty pink china pieces that were passed down from my mother are much-loved. Have you noticed how most roses painted on china are usually pink? These are sweet rambling roses. This Royal Albert oval dish is a favorite ~ the scrolled pale green edge touched with gold ~ especially when holding a few really good dark chocolates!

Please visit our great hostess Beverly at How Sweet The Sound today. I just know that even with all she had to do for Christmas she still made time to host PINK SATURDAY again. Just think, if you miss this week we won't see you again until next year!

  10. I love your pink plate (I'm a dishy dame, of course!), but the image of dark chocolates has sent me to the candy stash. :-) How lovely. I'm thrilled to meet you--England is my true love. In fact, I'm mildly obsessed with cream teas and Staffordshire. The first thing I do when I get to London is, I walk through Westminister. :-) We have Christmas Crackers every year and wear the paper crowns at the dinner table.

I do love your reference to this being a "normal" day--this Pink Saturday! I love Christmas, but I was very overwhelmed with it this year. Your plate is lovely, indeed! Now that you've reached the bottom of your pink stash you will have to do as I do and "make it up"!! Have a good rest of the weekend! Dana

  28. Hello Mary, I have been busy today and I am finally finding some time to visit. Thank you for sharing that gorgeous plate. Yes, I have noticed roses are usually pink on china. The green edging is just beautiful on your Royal Albert plate.

You are efficient Mary. I haven't given my calendar a thought. I soon will be though. I do hope I will visit soon and we would love a visit from you as well.

Just the thought of putting away Christmas is daunting enough and I am waiting until after our daughter comes to visit for several days before I start.

I do hope Vanessa arrives ok and has a wonderful visit with her family. Luna will be so loved by all. She is so cute.

    Have a lovely weekend...Jeanne
