We flew to Salt Lake City and headed North. By mid-afternoon we arrived at Bear Lake.
Such an awesome lake. Stopped to take a lot of pics in the brilliant sunshine, temps. in the 90's.........................
............and if you're wondering why DH and I were grinning...............

..............we hit it at the perfect time, the annual Raspberry Festival. My favorite fruit. We tasted them in the best shake ever....thick, creamy, laced with just picked raspberries. Sorry, no pic, dug into the shake and quite forgot about the camera!

A lovely stop along the way to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone.

I am really enjoying your trip! Thanks for the photographs. And your grand-daughter is so lovely!!
ReplyDeleteI have to show hubby these pictures. We have been debating about where to go for vacations and I have always wanted to see the Dakotas, the Grand Tetons, and then visit my daughter's brother and sister in Colorado. Everywhere else we want to go is raining! It looks like you have had the best weather! Have Fun!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that first photo is so Old West! I love it. Mmmmm, raspberries - what good timing you had to arrive when the festival was on.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the Tetons and Yellowstone. I hope you see lots of wildlife.
ReplyDeleteYummm, raspberries. I just read that they are one of the most nutritional good for you fruits, high in fiber. Lots of Vit. C, protects against heart disease, and has powerful antioxidants. So eat lots of raspberries, I plan on it.
Wonderful pictures. I have come to expect none less. Enjoy

If you started in SLC and ended up at Bear Lake you drove through my darling home of Brigham City Utah. What a fun trip you had!!
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteThe scenery here is beautiful!! The first picture looks like an oil painting! Really~I thought it was! lol!
Funny, raspberries are also my favorite fruit. The milkshake sounded delish!! I would never associate Utah with berries. Snow and skiing, maybe!
xoxo
