Our New Year's eve was very quiet. We had a glass of Clairette at midnight and watched what you could see of the fireworks being set off here in our neighborhood. Unfortunately, it was a night marked with violence and problems in the country but we are thankful all was well here in our street. The smoke of the extreme amount of fireworks combined with fog made many of them invisible.
ReplyDeleteI spent the hours up to midnight doing cross stitching while watching The Girl with the Pearl Earring. They say what you are doing to end and start the new year will set the tone for the coming year so I guess I will get a lot of stitching done in 2008. :)
