Snip pretty Pansies for the kitchen window sill.

The feeders had to be topped up as birds leave their houses and come early morning.............staying all day when snow arrives.

Squirrels seem to know when snow is just around the corner.......running recklessly up and down tree trunks, jumping from branch to branch, checking out the squirrel - make that bird feeders - and flapping those Winter bushy tails that will keep them warm.

Do come visit again later.............I'll show you the beautiful birds in my garden. They're always there but show up so much better in the snow. For those of you up North, probably tired of snow by now, please bear with us here in the South where we're having our first real Winter Wonderland. Being 'snowed in today' is a really big occasion!

You sound a bit excited about having a winter wonderland and I don't blame you at all. And you certainly are prepared!!

My friend in Arkansas called yesterday...they were snowed in...I guess it's your turn now! And here we are in the sunshine again here...it's all so surreal. I'll be back to enjoy your winter wonderland through the lens of your camera. Stay warm and safe!

We were prepared...we have 10 inches of snow, and now it is freezing rain a little. I am enjoying sitting by the fire with a hot chocolate and reading a good book.
ReplyDeleteStay warm, my friend!

Take care and be warm! I wish for just one snow day here, but alas I don't think we will see one. There was one day of snow after Christmas and I was out of town and missed it. Enjoy! I look forward to seeing the birds against the snow in your pictures.
ReplyDeleteWell we have the snow. Woke up this A.M. and there it was. Just as predicted. It has stopped snowing at 4 inches in central Ky. but much, much more south of here. My photos today look like black and white but they are not. Just a hue of color in some of them to good good. blessings this weekend.

You cut your snowbell didn't you? I haven't seen any of mine yet. How was your visit with Paula? Sorry I missed ya'll last Saturday. I had a huge dose of stupidity drop in for a visit!
ReplyDeleteSee you soon!

What a cute post. You can see from my Pink Saturday post just how right you are about being tired of the snow. Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are enjoying your snow; please feel free to keep it!

We have a few inches -- and ICE -- here in Tennesse! How lucky you are to have a snowbell! Right about now I'd be happy to see some sign of spring -- but I know my blooms will begin in February (witch hazel, Lenten roses, snowdrops), so I can't complain TOO much.
ReplyDeleteWe have more than 12" in this part of Virginia and it's snowing again. Yikes! It is beautiful and a play day has been fun!
ReplyDeleteHello Mary! I think all the animals know when the weather is changing! Maybe we need to watch them more often instead of the tv!! What lovely photos you showed us, and it looks like you give your birds good homes!
ReplyDeleteTake Care!
