It had not flown into the glass storm door, thank goodness. This little fledgling was just visiting with its Daddy, a handsome tri-color Eastern Towhee, who was giving lessons on how to find food and take a drink from the fountain.
And look at this Dad.....................packing up the car to take the entire family on a Summer road trip in that big old gas guzzler................bet those were the days of 29 cents a gallon gas!

Love the Towhee photo. They are frequent visitors to our garden as well. I love their "drink your tea" song!
ReplyDeleteGood morning and Happy Pink Saturday, Mary.
ReplyDeleteWe have a bird every year that flirts with himself by repeatedly flying into one of the windows on our front porch. Thank goodness he never kills himself.
Your pictures and sentiment make me smile. I daresay gas might have been even less that 29 cents per gallon. But, that is a certifiable gas guzzler.
These are wonderful, I especially love the one with dad packing up the car...brings back memories. Happy Pink Saturday. Karen
ReplyDeleteMary! What a cute little birdy!! So adorable!!! I can even "hear" Jasmin calling your name to come and see that feathered cutie! Love,

Glad your little visitor brought his dad! The prints featured are priceless---I recall those summer trips of being crammed like sardines for hours in the backseat with hot siblings.
