....................there was time to sleep, long lovely hours of night snuggled in a comfy bed, enveloped in a puffy duvet, lavender water scenting my pillow. However, somewhere along the way my bed time has become shorter and shorter because there is always so much to do and sleep seems at the bottom of the list! I know this is not a good thing so I plan to try to get more sleep, Now if only DH would stop snoring.............
These are some beautiful beds from French Country magazine.

So that's all for now........a little inspiration goes a long way.........I'm off to my bed right now as it's already Friday.

The first picture is my favourite - what a pretty room. Inspiration for bedrooms is exactly what I need too as It's on my (very long) list of things to do.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know there was a magazine called French Country. Must Google for it.
I loved your description of going to bed at the beginning, to start with I thought you were quoting from a book. I especially like the idea of lavender water on my pillow, must try that.
I don't know which photo is my favorite...the first one, or the black and white toile/check combination! All of the photos are just gorgeous, and I would be happy in any of them! Very lovely post!
ReplyDeleteI always love visiting your blog home. it is a repose from the "business" of the world I live in.
ReplyDeleteThe beds are just so full of peace.
My beds lately have become havens
for cats who sleep so much better then I do. With one stretched out on my legs and another by my shoulder.
So I am truly inspired to make the same bed for myself to be clear of the books I am reading and to ask my lovely cats to please just give me one day when I can enjoy the fresh new covers I put on them and crisp linens that are all tucked in.
Of course after a day, I miss them.
Then they are back on the bed again.
Thank-you for this moment of true comfort.

I know exactly what you mean! Hope you got a good night's sleep. I adore that blue and white room, it looks so soothing and comfy. xoxo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I saved several of them to my inspiration files.
ReplyDeleteThey are all so pretty!! I do love a cozy and pretty bedroom. Thanks for the inspiration. I've been focusing on my bedroom more lately, sometimes it's an easy place to overlook as we focus on the main parts of the house that others see.

I'm not sure which I like best, although as I love checks and stripes maybe the last one. But having to share with another snorer ... I don't suppose it would really matter which one I picked!!
