Still pulling the guest room together ~ hope to have pictures for you later this week.
The shutters are up! Today I'll crank up the sewing machine and tackle the sheer panel for the window.
This is the look I'm going for, just a simple flat panel which can be folded back to let light in.

I will attach it to the window casing with the decorative tacks, no rod. I have blinds also on this window which can be used at night for privacy and room darkening.
Then on to mirrors, art, lighting. Still looking for a small chandelier!
Have ordered 'wall words' ~ will show you when they are flowing across this little French inspired room.
How exciting Mary! The fun part is setting in of placing all the details in their rightful place. I am so anxious to see your guest room photos. I can't wait to see what you did with the shutters too.
ReplyDeleteI am glad Bob is feeling a little better now. Did you pamper him? Jos has been working so hard to get all the painting done both here and at the cottage and it still seems the end is nowhere in sight.
I wanted to ask you if you use water from your cooking (like when you boil any vegeatables) or extra tea water, etc. for your garden? When it is warm and dry, we never throw it down the sink but carry it out to the garden to use on our plants. Charlie Dimmock even recommends you throw your dishwater out on the plants in drought. She says the soap is diluted by the time you finish and won't hurt the plants. Okay, enough eco tips for today. :)
Hugs ~
Heidi
Can't wait for the results, but I guess I will have too, huh? I just know it will be perfect in every way with just a bit of je ne sais quoi thrown in for good measure :)

I love "Wall Words" - this little room will be a jewel box when you are finished. Looking forward to seeing the end results. I love the little sheer curtain drawn back at the side.
