HAPPY NEW YEAR

The clock strikes twelve and a NEW YEAR arrives, just like that!!!
Best wishes for good health, much happiness, and prosperity for you and yours. My sincere hopes are that this will be the best year yet for each one of us.

~~~~~~~~~~
The song "Auld Lang Syne" is sung at the stroke of midnight in almost every English-speaking country in the world to bring in the New Year. At least partially written by Robert Burns in the 1700's, it was first published in 1796 after his death. An old Scottish tune, "Auld Lang Syne" literally means "old long ago" or simply, "the good old days".
~~~~~~~~~~
Auld Lang Syne

Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne
We'll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sing out tonight......with family and friends.

My thanks to each one of you who have joined in this great blogging journey. You have shared so much of your lives, interests, hopes and dreams this past year. To me it's amazing that so many of us have so much in common. No matter where we live and how young or old we are, we have bonded. For me, and hopefully for you, the journey will continue in 2008.

  18. Happy New Year to You too!!

    As You write it has been fantastic to get to know all these likeminded souls around the world, with so much in common (Even if I just recently started) Wouldn´t this be a glorious way to end wars and get understanding between people?!! Well that might be too much to ask! Anyway I will definitely be with You on the journey in 2008!
